Story

To remember the life of an incredible man: the son, the brother, the uncle, the husband, the father, the friend, the soldier, the hotelier...the gentle and the generous.

Born in a neighbours house in the little town of Volksrust, South Africa, on 23rd of October 1918, on the 12th of August 2015, our "papa" had to go home. He passed away in comfort at the Royal Free Hospital in London, the city that became his home 16 years ago and which afforded him and Grace the best years of their lives together, in retirement and in each other’s company in their quaint cottage in Hampstead Garden Suburbs (thanks to dad's years served fighting for the British during World War II).

We are all nonetheless devastated by his loss and shall miss him every day.

Rest in Peace Dad x
