Story

Edinburgh Marathon 27 May 2012

Hi

My name is Eric Thomson and I will be running in the 2012 Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for the Scottish Stroke Association.

To date I have raised  over £5000 and I would be delighted if you could help me reach my target of £6000 in 2012

Stroke is the leading cause of adult impairment and disability in Scotland.

About 12,500 people have a stroke each year and of these a third will die, a third will recover well but a third will survive with one or more impairments, including physical, sensory, neurological and psychological.

The  Scottish Stroke Association is  a charity  concerned with helping everyone affected by stroke across Scotland and their aim is to prevent stroke and reduce their effects on individuals and families.

I myself suffered a stroke in 2006 and so the charity has a special place in my life.

If you would like to sponsor me click the donate icon

Kind Regards

Eric Thomson
