2 years ago I was struck by a truck while riding my bicycle. I have been slowly recovering physically for past 2 years. I have also developed a severe phobia of riding my bicycle after my accident.  

This year, I have committed to facing my fears and getting back on the bike and riding in the CHAFE 150.  As a member of the Sandpoint Rotary Club, I have seen all the ways the rotary club impacts our community.  This year,  CHAFE proceeds will benefit the Lake Pend Oreille School District’s Literacy Initiative and after school reading programs. Funds will support this initiative by helping fund a literacy curriculum, staff development, and expand after-school programs. This promotes the LPOSD vision of providing high quality instruction and high levels of learning for every child, every day, in every classroom and environment.
