Hastings Pier to Brighton Pier · 16 September 2017

Crossroads Care supports carers at home, to allow them to take a break from their caring responsibilities, maintaining their health and wellbeing. Our quality care service is person centred and user led, so carers are secure in the knowledge that their loved one is well cared for in their absence.

Story

This page has been set up on behalf of Lloyd Martin and Daniel Adams who have organised a sponsored walk on Saturday 16th September 2017. Starting at Hastings Pier and finishing at Brighton Pier. Lloyd, Daniel and friends plan to cover the distance in just ONE day!

Lloyd has 3 children with autism and wants to raise awareness of autism and has offered to fundraise for East Sussex, Brighton & Hove Crossroads in recognition of the support they provide to family carers.

"Being a parent with kids with autism can be very hard and stressful sometimes but I will never change them for the world. 3 of my boys have autism, Reuben, Ronnie, Reggie. They have their ups and downs, Reuben suffers with anxiety quite often, Ronnie is very loving but can become obsessed with things, Reggie doesn't like changes in his routine - the slightest change can throw him right off. I don't see them as autistic boys, they are the most clever and unique boys I know."

In raising this money, ESBH Crossroads will be able to offer respite cover visits to carers when in a crisis situation.
