Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I've always thought of Jessops simply as a maternity hospital - a place you go to give birth and maybe stay a day before taking your baby home. For many of our team this is exactly what it was. For others, including Thomas and I, it was a whole new world. We had no idea the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit existed but thank god it does. Our daughter was born at 27+5 weeks weighing just 2lb 4oz. To say she had a pretty tough start would be a huge understatement. To put it simply Jessops, along with the Sheffield Children's Hospital, saved her life. There are no words for the work they do - the care and support given to the babies but also the parents is second to none. I am very grateful that we have these amazing hospitals on the doorstep and we want to take part in this walk to give a little back and to say thank you for everything they've done for us and for many of our family and friends too. No one wants to think about needing these services but god forbid you have to let's make sure they continue to be the best!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. About the charity

We help Sheffield’s hospitals, community teams and health and social care services to cover costs their NHS budgets can’t. We fund support for patients and staff, life-changing research and more, so that we can enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.
