Story
Founded 60 years ago by parents Elizabeth Fitzroy and John Williams, FitzRoy supports adults with learning disabilities to live the life they choose. This could be from simple tasks such as being able to make a cup of tea independently, to learning new skills to help involve them to grow and be a part of their local community. This year I'm taking to the skies in a once-in-a-lifetime experience to raise funds so that FitzRoy can continue transforming lives for adults with learning disabilities for years to come. I'd be grateful if you would sponsor me to make a real difference for the people they support.
We are raising money specific to Linden Cottage to create a larger dining room for the residents to enjoy. The impact it will have will be for the people we support to enjoy their meal times together and engage in activities which the current size of the dining room does not allow. The staff will also be able to access more space to provide further care where needed. The dining room will also give immediate access to the garden! Alongside this we plan on creating a sensory space to enable a therapeutic experience for our wonderful residents. This will help assist in sensory learning and interactions through a variety of different equipment.
From the team at Linden Cottage, our lovely residents and I.....
Thank you for your support!!!
