Story

I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Prisoners' Education Trust in October. Prisoners’ Education Trust (PET) provides distance learning courses, advice and guidance to men and women in prison as part of our Access to Learning programme, an intervention proven by the Ministry of Justice to reduce reoffending. They have funded over 37,000 prisoner learners and work closely with over 120 prisons in England and Wales by phone, e-mail, and letter, visiting around 35 prisons each year to give tailored advice and guidance. My wonderful friend has worked for PET for a number of years and I am in awe of the work that she has been able to do within the programme (and in wider prison education legislation).

My wonderful housemates are also running with me. Ruth is running for the NSPCC and Becky for Mind. You can also donate to them here:

Thanks so much in advance for reading the page and do come and cheer me on (I like - vegetarian - jelly sweets hihi) if you are free on Sunday 14th October! I'll be really red and sweaty maybe crying.
