After knowing the reality of the Palestinian people and being aware of their dramatic situation since the late nineteenth century to the present, and after studying in depth the origins of the conflict during my research in History, I have the chance to get involved personally participating in a volunteer project with International Citizen Service.

I will be taking part of a project in Palestine from September to December. It is called Youth Development Department and our mission will be to encourage young Palestinians to develop their capacities and skills. The YDD is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, working alongside community based organization and youth institutions in Jerusalem.It was establish in 2000 as part of the Arab Studies Society, an initiative supported by the late Faisal Husseini.
