Hello Everyone, Bowel Cancer is the second biggest killer in the UK and what’s more disturbing is that this is extremely treatable with early detection. Lewis, Tom and I, have teamed up with TSD who are attempting to beat the record AGAIN for the largest ever Tough Mudder Team in the UK and most importantly raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. We have also teamed up with Bowel Cancer UK to fight for more rigorous screening methods in GP surgeries to prevent unnecessary deaths.If we raise 20k we will be able to implement new procedural protocols to all 9000 UK GP surgeries and with each GP surgery averaging 2000 patients that’s 18 million people who will have access to faster screening procedures. Alex at TSD lost his grandmother and his wife Babs lost her grandmother and tragically her best friend Jordon (aged 30) to bowel cancer. The disease has also struck in our families in the past. To raise money for Bowel Cancer UK my sons and I have joined the team for Tough Mudder in Scotland on July 2nd 2022. I am sure this will be a day that we will never forget and will be a tough but  incredible experience! I looked at the obstacles after I put the entry in and did not realise there are some at height- one of my fears and anyone who knows me, knows I hate the cold. So definitely this is outside of my comfort zone - But focussing on the motto We are Stronger Together  and will see you all on the other side!
