LIM (Lighthouse International Ministry) is dedicated to serving and transforming the lives of abandoned and disadvantaged children in India, Romania, and Africa. LIM Xpo is our student and volunteer programme that sends volunteers to our projects in Romania and India to work with the children.

Story

On Monday 28th September 2009 I, Esther Moss, had my hair completely shaved off for charity. Let me explain more:

Most of you know that I've been to Romania recently, and while I was out there I saw some pretty desperate things. I was working with gypsy children, who are absolutely HATED by most Romanian people in general. We went into a shop with a couple of 7 year old kids and the shop keeper refused to serve them.
So we were out there just generally playing with them, looking after them and showing them a bit of love.

But these families are really poor. Many of them are uneducated and loads of the kids are having to get money by collecting plastic bottles from bins and stuff like that.

One of the kids took me to the main water fountain place in one of the villages, and it was completely and utterly bone dry. They were desperate for water.
The charity I went with are trying to educate, feed and love the kids. But they need money.

Last winter, one of the kids was really ill, but the lady that runs the charity (Ramona) didn't have enough money to even pay for the petrol to take them to hospital. (About £8 there and back)

Which is where we come into this. Basically I said that I'd raise some money for them. And I'm a woman of my word...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SPONSOR ME.

If you do, I will let you laugh at my baldy baldy head.

PLEEEEEEASE give money.

I know we've already raised a lot, but, depressingly, they need so so much more.

These kids are amazing + definately worth every single penny.

Thank you,

Esther.
