Right... so I did it, unfortunately in just over the 2.5 hours but still I made it.

Thanks soooooo much for all of your support, and kind words after the event. I's not going to stop me from madly trying again....I was right, it's a long way.

Thanks for your contributions too, every penny makes such a difference and it really did help! Even after the humiliation of being beaten by 2 runner beans and a carrot!

 a half marathon... thats 20km, the distance from harlington (bedfordshire) to Harpenden, or Hounslow to Harrods... (well actually thats only 16.9km but you get the point.)
