I am running the Leeds 10k for Macmillan because of the support my Grandad has received during, post and currently ongoing cancer treatment. My Grandad is currently 83 years of age and has been an inspiration, best friend and hero to myself for my 27 years on planet earth. Last year everything was dropped when we found out he had cancer which had spread to his head and neck. Major surgery and 30 odd radiotherapy sessions later we thought things would be on the up, but my Grandad has been hit hard with the recovery and is currently back in hospital.
Myself running 10k is nothing compared to what he has gone through, and is not enough to thank the Macmillan ward that look after him. But for now, a fat lad running is the best I can do. Grandad never let anyone down, and I try to reflect this myself. Anything you can kindly donate would be appreciated and I promise I wont let you down. Thanks x
