Hi everyone,
Bit of a plug but I'm taking part in the Red Bull Neptune Steps on March 18 and thought there's no way I'm putting myself through this and not raising money for charity!
I'm supporting Save the Children, a charity that I've been lucky enough to see the great work they carry out. I believe that a childhood should be sacred and taken away from no one. Unfortunately, the world we live in at the moment is full of problems and conflict and children are forced to become adults at far too young an age.
Not only does the charity support kids here in the UK but also overseas in places like Syria and Yemen, two places where I'm sure we all now how desperate and terrifying it must be for these children!
Ultimately if a child is not shown love and compassion, how can we expect them to be loving and compassionate adults?
Please spare a few pounds and give me some encouragement to jump into Maryhill Lochs and freeze my tits off, possibly catch something and make it out the other side. But really and more importantly, spare a few pounds and maybe it can go some way to making a difference!
