Story

I am really excited to be doing the Great North Run (my first half marathon!) for Save the Children. Thank you so much for checking out my page, I am very grateful for any donation you are able to make.

I am looking forward to the challenge of training for the run as well as raising vital funds for a great cause. Wish me luck! :-)

Save the Children reach tens of millions of children each year, providing life saving support. In 2021, the Save the Children movement reached 43m children in 118 countries including the UK.

The impact your donation can make is huge, Save the Children help children get the food, healthcare and education they need.

Any donations are matched by GSK as part of the partnership with Save the Children so your donation has double the impact!

  • £2 can pay for a child’s hygiene kit to prevent the spread of disease
  • £5 can provide antibiotics to treat 5 children with pneumonia each month
  • £10 could supply 60 sachets of food paste to severely malnourished children
  • £15 could supply vouchers for a family in the UK to ensure kids don't go hungry

GSK and Save the Children united in 2013 to reduce preventable deaths and illness of children under the age of five. More than five million children under the age of five die each year. But many of these deaths could be prevented by vaccinations, trained health care workers, correct diagnosis, and affordable treatment.

Our innovative partnership combines Save the Children's vast experience in maternal, newborn, and child health in communities around the world and GSK's research and expertise to help reduce preventable deaths and illness in young children.
