The Meadows Marathon Fun Run · 2 March 2014

The Bill McLaren Foundation was set up to develop the sport of rugby and its values, to encourage sporting opportunities for young people and to create an education centre which will include the Bill McLaren Archive.

Story

We are the Edinburgh University Ladies Rugby Team. This year we have had a highly successful season, witnessing first-hand the growing enthusiasm for and participation in rugby union. With that in mind, this season we have chosen to fundraise for The Bill MacLaren foundation.

This semester we are taking part in 3 events in an attempt to raise money for this great cause.

1) Meadows Marathon Fun Run - completed 2/3/14, a total of £290 raised

2) Bucket Collection at the Scotland Women's 6 Nation game vs France - completed 9/3/14, a total of £135 raised

3) A Race Night in conjunction with The Old Bell Inn 14/3/14

As university students we are well aware of the benefits of sport for young people so we ask you to spare us any donations you can.

We believe as a team that we have the power to make a real difference.
