Story

The time for action rather than words is nearly upon us. No more 20 mile training runs and protein shakes for breakfast. All that is left for us to do is tie up the shoelaces, take a tot of whisky to fuel the engines, and gallop enthusiastically off the start line (before collapsing from over exertion at the second corner).

Though above it only shows us as 60% of the way there, actually, when you account for donations made via Give as You Earn cheques and the fact that Eurohypo has kindly agreed to double all sponsorship made by Eurohypo employees, we have exceeded the target set so thank you all for your benevolence.

Pictures of the days events to be circulated shortly......

Wish us luck, we're going to need it.

************

Eurohypo London branch is not only good at financing property, we can also run for long periods of time around West Country cities famed for their Roman baths. What better way to raise money for a number of good causes then than to enter a team into the Bath Half Marathon? All the money raised will be split equally between:

BLESMA (http://www.blesma.org/);

NSPCC (http://www.nspcc.org.uk/);

Disasters Emergency Committee (http://www.dec.org.uk/) who have been heavily involved in aid for Haiti

The distance is a gruelling 21k, all of it up-hill, and with numerous obstacles (such as overtaking Paula Radcliffe) thrown into the mix. There are 12 of us from the office entering and I am sure you will agree that these are great causes to be running for so we hope you can dig deep and help us reach our target.

Also making a guest appearance in the line up will be Andrew Cotton of BNP Paribas RE fame, replacing an EH employee who has sustained an injury through their rigorous training regime.

Thanks for all your support,

Eurohypo London Branch
