Story
I am running an ultramarathon to support the representation of women in society in Afghanistan and Iraq. I am fundraising for the NGO “Free to Run” which focuses on creating female leaders in areas of conflict through outdoor sports. Needless to say, the immediate priorities of the NGO in Afghanistan have changed to ensure women and girls are safe and evacuated after the Taliban take-over. Which is why we need your support even more.
As a fairly novice runner who has never run more than a (virtual) half, an ultramarathon will certainly push me out of my comfort zone. While running 50km (32 miles) I will cover an elevation gain of 1.750 meters (5.666ft). Your donations will push me to keep going during the hard times in the race and help me to (hopefully) complete the course. Any amount will directly impact the lives of Afghan women. Your support means so much. Thank you
