Half Marathon for Saheliya · 8 November 2020

We are a mental health and well-being support organisation for black, minority ethnic, asylum seeker and refugee women and girls. We promote well-being by combating effects of discrimination, abuse, reducing the stigma of mental health, and improving access to mainstream services and education.

Story

Last year I signed up for the October 2020 Half Marathon but unfortunately due to Covid it got cancelled, however I decided that I’m going to still try and run it. So on Sunday 8th November I’m going to be running the 13.1 miles around the streets of Glasgow.

I have decided to fund raise for Saheliya, a Glasgow and Edinburgh based charity that do incredible work to support black, minority ethnic, asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women and girls. They run many different services, both preventative and supportive, to maintain and support the mental well-being of these women.

I would be very grateful for any donations. It will encourage me to keep running, knowing that my effort will help these women-in-need through really tough times. Thank you!
