Story
Hello! After managing to push myself from not being able to run 1k to finishing my first half marathon -- I decided I'd go one step further and run the 2026 London Marathon to raise money for Leukaemia Care🩸🏃🏻♀️
Once again I am running in memory of my wonderful grandad, who passed away 10 years ago. I miss him everyday. He bravely battled a rare form of blood cancer — one of the many that Leukaemia Care is working tirelessly to help cure through their outstanding research and support.
He was also a runner back in the day and won plenty of medals -- and I feel very proud to be following in his footsteps (don't think I'll ever be quite as fast as him though!)
I’m also running for my mom’s mom - Cynthia - who passed away in 1990 due to Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
I’ll be posting my progress over on Instagram, if you want to give @evegoesrunning a follow☺️
