An Evening With Dr George McGavin

Maria Wakefield is raising money for The Fountain Centre

An Evening With Dr George McGavin · 4 February 2021

The Fountain Centre provides a caring environment for patients newly diagnosed with cancer, in order to balance the traditional approaches to cancer treatment with a range of complementary therapies and individual support.

Story

We are very lucky at the Fountain Centre to have Dr George McGavin as our patron. George is a well-known zoologist, entomologist and broadcaster. He has made many programmes for the BBC including the phenomenally successful ‘Lost Lands’ expedition series.

His research has taken him from the tropical forests of Papua New Guinea to the caves of Thailand and from the jungles of Belize to the savannas of Tanzania and he has written numerous books on insects and other animals.

Join us on Thursday 4th February when our lovely Maria will be sitting down for a virtual Zoom  chat about his experiences, the insects he has eaten and the ones that are named after him!  We will also have a short Q&A session.  Suggested £10 donation.  THE ZOOM LINK WILL BE IN YOUR DONATION ACKNOWLEDMENT E:MAIL - Don't forget to check your junk mail!
