At the beginning of 2021, our grandmother Rose took a major stroke but was thankfully saved by the paramedics and Stroke Unit in Belfast.

Just a few weeks previous to this my aunties mother Marie lost her life suddenly to a massive heart attack. In the midst of the pandemic, Covid robbed both our families of the usual Sunday visits, family gatherings and giving Marie a proper wake and funeral. For anyone who knew both Marie and Rose, you'd know they both loved a good natter, especially when they were together.

We are raising money for 3 different chosen charities by trekking Mount Everest Base Camp this September 2022. I have chosen Chest, Heart & Stroke NI charity as this is a cause close to our family circle.
