I'm raising funds for the amazing WESC Foundation - The Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment. www.wescfoundation.ac.uk
*Updates below*
May 2017 to May 2018 - I've set myself the challenge of completing 1,000 miles of hiking/trekking (more than walking from Land's End to John O' Groats!). Including hiking Hadrian's Wall Walk (85 miles), Shropshire Six Summits (37 miles), Ben Nevis (4,411 ft), Scafell Pike (3,209 ft), Snowdon (3,560 ft), Crib Goch Route (Snowdon) (3.207 ft), Mount Teide (Tenerife) (12,198 ft) and concluding with a monumental trek to Mount Everest Base Camp (17,598 ft).
Please support me, all the incredible WESC Foundation staff and inspirational WESC learners by sponsoring and donating to my Just Giving page. You can also text donations to 70070 - in the message area insert the text SSEB69 £10 (or more..) and send to 70070
Please consider including Gift Aid (at no extra cost to you) - Gift Aid is a tax relief allowing UK charities to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer.

Latest news: As of 20/07/2018 - Hiking miles completed so far 1062.68 (of 1,000)
Snowdon: completed (4 times) 19th, 20th & 25th April 2017, 8th June
Crib Goch Route (Snowdon): completed 2nd Nov 2017
Scafell Pike: completed 24th May 2017
Ben Nevis: completed 2nd June 2017
Shropshire Six Summits: completed 13th/14th July 2017
Hadrian's Wall Walk: completed twice! 23rd-27th July 2017 and 4th-9th September 2018
Mount Teide (Tenerife): Attempted 15/03/18 but the trails closed due to adverse winds - may try again later in the year!
Everest Base Camp (Nepal): Attempted 24/03/18 - 04/04/18
Unfortunately didn't make it to Everest Base Camp! Sleep deprevation,
altitude and harsh conditions got the better of me! I turned back back after 10 days (with 2 only trekking days left!). Disapointing, morale a little low but it is what it is.. Trekked as far as Pheriche (4,371 mts/14,340 ft altitude). No plans to attempt again! ............Yet!!
Hiking: Done! Over 1,000 miles..
