Everesting - Alpes du Zwift · 18 April 2020

Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Story

Imagine being locked down at home with a person who abuses you and your children? One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime and two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner. Refuge supports around 6,000 women & children on any given day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Louise, Maddie and Caroline are cyclists from the Lea Valley Cycling Club and are planning to Everest on Zwift on Saturday 18 April 2020 - 3 women, over 200km cycled, and 8,848m to climb.

By kindly sponsoring us today you are helping to save and change the lives of thousands of women and children escaping domestic violence.

Thank you.
