In memory of Nick Cooper

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

You will know that I have undertaken a biking challenge bi-yearly since 2013 to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer in Nick's memory. Having decided that I can no longer suffer on a bike, I signed up for a skiing challenge (www.everestinthealps.com) in 2021. However, covid (with a small c) put paid to that, but it is back on for 2022.

As said, I have been raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Research over the past 8 years, but have decided to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK going forward - however, still in Nick's memory. The charity change is due to my own Prostate Cancer diagnosis early last year, thankfully early and treatable. Initial shock notwithstanding, combined with excellent medical advice, I now better understand what it means. Gentlemen (not sexist as you ladies don’t possess one😀!), get a PSA test if you haven’t already done so. It is a simple blood test.

I have left it quite late to start raising money, but wanted to wait until the trip was confirmed before doing so (knowing many of you want to make sure I complete the challenge before donating!)

Donate as large or small as you can.

Thank you.

Jon
