I know lots of the children in the Pearl of Africa Choir from their visits over the years and I love it when they come to stay with us.  I want to raise some money to support the work of the schools in Uganda so that they can carry on providing food, shelter and education for the children.  Here is some information about the charity:

Pearl of Africa Child Care supports over 2,000 poor, orphaned and disadvantaged children in Uganda by providing them access to education, shelter, food, clean water and healthcare. Each year they raise funds through the annual Pearl of Africa Children's Choir Tour but in 2020 the tour is not happening which means without our help those in Uganda face a challenging year. By donating today you can help ensure that the schools stay open, the homes continue to operate for those who are without shelter and each child continues to receive at least one cup of porridge each day.  Here is an example of how your donation will make a difference... £4 gives one child, one meal a day for a month, £5 buys one lifesaving malaria drug, £20 pays the weekly salary of one teacher, with a class of approx. 35+, £25 is the monthly cost of one child attending school and living in one of our homes, £40 is the annual cost for one pupil to sit their school exams, £100 pays for one nurse in the clinic
