Always a keen runner and cyclist, last September Ellen had a freak accidental fall from her bike, fracturing her skull. She spent several weeks in Edinburgh Western ICU after a life threatening and severe brain injury and was in a coma for 6 weeks.

Her subsequent rehabilitation at the Astley Ainslie and since returning home is ongoing and her progress is delighting everyone - including all the medical staff who have helped her since the accident.
