I attend Bideford College sixth form and first learnt about the invaluable work that Edukid do a couple of years ago. This year I have been lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to travel to Ugnada in July 2022 with the charity Edukid. Their aim is to  help to remove the barriers to education faced by children living in poverty and conflict by providing primary, secondary and vocational training, university scholarships, and school packs. 

During our time in Uganda we will be, visiting local schools and meeting with the children that Bideford College have supported, assisting Edukid staff by listening and documenting the stories of the people Edukid work with and understanding the issues they face every day. We will attend emergency home visits and explore ways to help and establish positive changes for those living in extreme poverty. 

I am planning some fundraising events to the raise the money to pay for my trip and to purchase various items to take for the children and families that i will meet in Uganda. Any donations would be really appreciated.
