Story
I am running (jogging / walking / crawling) the London Marathon on 2nd October to raise funds for YMCA in support of their work with young people
YMCA is the worlds oldest and largest youth charity in the world. In England and Wales we intensively support over 220,000 young people each year, ensuring every young person has an opportunity to contribute and thrive. YMCA provide a wide range of services to young people including: provision of support and guidance (to over 100,000 every year), accommodation (over 9,000 beds every night to those in need), training and education (helping young people back into work), family work (over 230,000 people assisted in the form of clubs, crèche and other school / youth support), health and well being (our body image campaign last year and current work on mental health as well as direct provision of gyms, swimming pools and activity clubs) and policy and research (identifying the issues that impact on young people and campaigning to ensure outcomes meet young peoples needs). The above is by no means an exhaustive list of services that YMCA provides. YMCA provides support for the difficult times - to assist young people gain access to the support that they need to flourish in today's society.
