Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Evie MacGillivray and I am currently in S6 at Oban High School. I am deferring university for a year to go to India to volunteer with the charity Project Trust where I will live with a host family and teach for a year. In order to do this I have to fundraise £7000 by hosting charity/fundraising events. So far I have hosted a very successful cafe morning, am planning a bingo night in December, a curry night in January and will be climbing Ben Mor, the only Munro on my home island of Mull with a group of family and friends in March. If you would like to sponsor me or donate to any of my fundraising events it would be most appreciated.

Keep and eye out for updates over the coming year.
