Evie runs a half marathon!

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2023 · 8 October 2023 ·
Evie’s story
I’m taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 8th of October in support of survivors of domestic abuse. (It’s my first ever race…)
Why?
I’m running for women and children who can’t run. Who can’t escape their situations without expert caseworker support, provided by professionals at Women’s Aid.
Domestic abuse is an issue that is impacting women and children everywhere. Did you know that the police in England and Wales receive over 100 calls an hour relating to domestic abuse? And that 1.7 million women experience domestic abuse every year.
I am proud to say I work for Women’s Aid and know first hand the high demand for these life-saving support services.
If you can support me in reaching my target it would mean the world to me! Whatever you are able to donate is so so appreciated .
What could your donation fund?
£10 could fund 1 life-saving conversation between a professional Women’s Aid support worker and a survivor on their LiveChat.
£90 could help ensure a women struggling to escape abuse is given ongoing one-to-one support with our expert case workers to help her find safety - and a possible bed in a refuge.
Thank you so much!!
