Hi as you will know my eldest kid , Joshua has Down Syndrome.

He's now 8 and has  been in receipt of Speech & Languages Therapy (SLT) since the age of 3. 

SLT is key for all people with DS and like most things in life the earlier  and more regular the receipt  the greater the impact.

Voices  for DS Galway  is a charity that provides such a service. 

Fundraising was somewhat curtailed in 2020, So I've  signed up to do a 1/2 marathon - lockdown style

current restrictions mean that I can be fined for straying further than 5km from the  homestead  so going to complete 21.1Km  keeping within 5km boundary.

 Your New Years Resolutions may be a  distant memory but here is a chance to do something good / healthy for yourself and donate to a worthy cause at the same time so why not give it a go its only 6 weeks who knows we may be coming out of lockdown by then
