Great River Race · 3 May 2007

To provide socio-educational projects for disadvantaged kids to have better prospects in life through education & assistance to ex-residents so that they maintain continuous access to local support network and live in harmony with their families away from the streets.

Story

Dear families, friends, colleagues,

On 8th September 2007 our 16-strong crew of fine, fit and fearless young men will compete in the Great River Race by paddling a Dragonboat 22 miles from Richmond to Greenwich.

We call ourselves (aptly) The Business and are raising money for a UK Charity which supports abandoned street children in Brazil.

TASK Brasil provides refuge, food and basic education for some of the (often very young) street kids threatened by 'extermination squads' on the streets of Rio.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor the Abandoned Street Kids of Brazil Trust - Task Brasil will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please give as much as you possibly can, and thank you very much for your support!

Best wishes,

Chris McCracken and crew
