Story
Exmouth Food Bank was set up in 2012 by a group of local churches working in collaboration with the Salvation Army. It is run entirely by a team of volunteers who provide supplies to anyone experiencing food poverty in and around Exmouth.
The Salvation Army is home to the Food Bank and is the registered charity. The donation you make today will be ring fenced within the Salvation Army account and will be used entirely to support the work of Exmouth Food Bank.
Since 2019 demand for help from the Food Bank has doubled. In 2025 we packed and distributed over 2,900 parcels that provided food for 5,897 people. In addition to the generous food donations received each week the Food Bank has to purchase approximately £1,000 of core items that are needed to meet the demand for our services. This means that each year we need to raise over £50,000 in order to support those who are struggling to put food on the table.
Many of those seeking help are families who are using a food bank for the first time. Often one or more of the adults in the family are working but, due to the spiralling increase in the cost of living, they are unable to make ends meet.
We really value your generosity and can assure you that every pound helps.
