Fundraiser to replace children's stolen property and Help fix the mini bus · 16 March 2022
Exodus change the lives of young people living in less advantaged communities...plain and simple. They build committed and lasting relationships, over long periods, to guide them into positive lifestyle choices and away from destructive ones.
We don’t like bringing bad news, especially after the all the fun we’ve had tonight in our clubs.
Each month we take our Rock Solid groups out for a different activity, this week it’s Ninja Warrior in Sheffield. While the young people and leaders were inside having fun and building friendships, one of our minibuses was broken into in the car park. They managed to smash the side window and gain entry ransacking the inside and taking belongings from us, including one of our brand new iPads used for clubs.
We’re particularly saddened by this as all our minibuses are vital to the work we do - transporting equipment, volunteers and staff to clubs, used for taking children and young people out on trips and the equipment taken is used during clubs to make them fun, exciting and enjoyable for the children and young people. This minibus now has to be taken off the road until it can be repaired. All our buses are sign written with information stating we’re a children and young peoples charity.
