Story

Eyecare - friends of the Eye Pavilion is a charitable fund based in Edinburgh, Scotland, existing to support the delivery of very high quality services to patients attending The Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh's eye hospital.

Ophthalmology is a very equipment dependent speciality, both in the outpatient department and in the operating theatres and treatment rooms. At present prices, the medical equipment in the Eye Pavilion would cost over £2,000,000 to replace and since 1984 when the Eye Pavilion's original charity fund was set up, around this amount of money has been kindly donated to us.

Your donations to our charity, have bought us special equipment that would otherwise be unavailable to our patients. We hope to enhance the environment for staff and patients alike, improve our services, and provide additional educational opportunities for both patients and staff.
