We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

The village of Eynsford nestles in the beautiful Darenth Valley in the north west corner of Kent.

The Eynsford Concert Band was formed there just over 40 years ago and rehearses at the local primary school ever since. We get together every week for the fun in making music and to prepare for performances which we give throughout the year both locally and internationally.

Charitable fundraising has been undertaken by our Band for many years, and has enabled us to donate substantial amounts to many good causes.

Stephen, one of our members, recently found out that Michael, his brother, has been diagnosed with MND.

Once the family came to terms with the news,' Stephen said,' "it was a great relief to find that the MNDA was available, offering dedicated support and care, and specialist advice. It felt important to me that I tried to give something back and was therefore thrilled that my friends in the Band were happy to join me in supporting the MNDA as their chosen charity to support in 2019"

Through our concerts and social events throughout 2019 we will be raising funds for the charity.
