The Circle FABI Team will be raising funds for the children and families we support through our very own FABI Fundraiser.

Meet Bob, our Children's Group 'The Shapes' Mascot, designed by Freddie, age 6. As part of the Children's Group, children and young people supported by Circle's FABI Team meet fortnightly, to make friendships and bring forward ideas on how we can develop our services and make a difference for children and young people.

The FABI team are borrowing 'Bob' for our next adventure of our wee 'FABI Fundraiser'. The FABI team will be raising funds for our children and families, by doing a Four Mile walk around Strathclyde Park on Wednesday 5^th October at 9:30am.

We know that the cost-of-living crisis is and will continue to have a detrimental impact on families we support. Families will be experiencing difficulties and hardship as the costs of fuel, food and the basic essentials of day-to-day living continue to increase. We have already seen an increase in accessing additional support for heating and food and this is only going to worsen over the winter months.

As a result, we know that the Christmas period is going to create further stress and anxiety for families. We know that grants, trusts, and local community charities will be stretched on what resources they can provide.

To alleviate some of this worry and stress, the FABI team want to raise funds to contribute towards purchasing Christmas Eve boxes for the children, young people, and families we support. We are aiming to raise £500, which will go towards purchasing 25 Christmas Eve boxes, to bring some joy to our children and families at Christmas. The boxes will include: warm pyjamas, slippers/warm socks, Christmas cup, hot, Christmas sweeties and reindeer food dust.

Whilst the FABI team are on their walk, our Senior Family Outreach Worker's daughter, Lisa, will also be doing a 10km run around Strathclyde Park to contribute towards our fundraising for the FABI Christmas Eve boxes.

We would be so grateful for any donations, large or small, and every penny raised will go a long way in helping to support our families over the Christmas period.
