I have volunteered for Guide Dogs for quite some time and since the cause is close to my heart I want to raise funds for them. I also met the woman who became my wife while training to become a sighted guide for visually impaired people (because Guide Dogs offer a multitude of services), so I owe Guide Dogs an awful lot!

And therefore I will challenge myself to run a half marathon and I will train hard for that. I only ran a half marathon before, some years ago, and I finished in just over 2 hours. The goal I set for myself now is 1 hour and 45 minutes and I can tell that it will require training and stamina, so your donations will keep me honest even when I may not want to go out in the rain to follow my training schedule.

Oh, and I will be running in a giant guide dog costume, just to challenge myself a little bit more...
