Schools, youth groups, businesses, individuals we want everyone to get involved with this years Childrens Mental Health Week. By combining our efforts, we have the potential to reach thousands more children, young people and families.

Story

From 3-9 February 2020 schools, youth groups, organisations and individuals across the UK will take part in Childrens Mental Health Week. This years theme is Find your Brave. I can't run so I thought I would be brave and challenge myself to give up something I would find difficult - and I'm going Facebook free!  Ironically, though, Facebook is one of the ways that I hear about the difficulties faced by families of children with SEN - including children and parents who are having to be brave by getting through without the support they need for their mental health.

Place2Be is a childrens mental health charity that provides counselling and mental health support and training in UK schools, using tried and tested methods backed by research. Last year, Place2Be worked with 639 schools in England, Scotland and Wales, reaching 364,080 children and young people.  Please help them reach more people - £19 gives a child 1-1 support with a counsellor.

There will be no Facebook update on this till February 10th - I'm off to take the app off my phone....
