Birmingham Bikeathon 2016 · 10 July 2016 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

It's Birmingham Bikeathon time again. I've entered this event each year since the first one in 2014 in aid of Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research) and it's a great event for a great cause.

I'd actually encourage everyone to take part, because it's good fun (even the climby Cotswold bits) and a good reason to spend a day cycling around the countryside to do some fundraising. There are shorter routes, if you're not stupid enough to do the 100 mile biggy, but if you can't be persuaded, then at least drop a fistful of charidee dollars into the collecting tin and we'll say no more about it.
