Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The family version of Three Peaks Challenge is a simple celebration of life as it is.
The total distance we would walk is estimated at 42 kilometers (26 mi), with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).
The ascent inspired us to set the target to £300. A mere ten pence (£0.10) for a meter of the climb...
We would like to endure this challenge and share the experience and an idea for other active families.
And most importantly, we'd love to introduce Teenage Cancer Trust to you. This charity was chosen as it is very close to our hearts and also a part of our lives in the past few years.
They are the only UK charity dedicated to support young people aged 13-24 that have the need for specialized nursing care and support, after they hear the words “you have cancer”.
Please donate generously, so no young person faces cancer alone.
Would you support us with £10 per peak for the effort? Just an idea, we would be happy for any amount, really :)
If you are based in the UK and pay taxes, please opt in for Gift Aid. That way, the Teenage Cancer Trust will get an extra 25p for every £1 you donate :)
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for helping us supporting this great cause!
=========================
Usually, the Three Peaks Challenge means climbing the highest peak of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours. That is real crazy!
We set to take a day to conquer each peak, with a day of rest between each of them. Still, not a walk in a park, especially with two teenagers ;)
We'll start with Ben Nevis on Sunday, 30 May 2021 and will provide updates from that point on as often as practically possible in a form of a blog on https://family-three-peaks.blogspot.com
Please check regularly for updates to see how we're doing...
