Cork City Ladies Mini Marathon · 18 September 2022

We work to meet the needs of people and their families living with and affected by end-stage kidney disease, on dialysis and post-transplant. From valuable donations and fundraisers we can provide services such as counselling, financial aid, the use of a patient support centre and patient holidays.

Story

As family and friends we have come together to raise funds for the Cork Branch of the Irish Kidney Association by taking part in this years Cork City Ladies Mini Marathon which takes place on Sunday, 18th September next.

The aim is raise funds for the local Renal Support Centre in Wilton as well as promoting Organ Donation.

The Cork branch is currently refurbishing the existing house to provide Renal patient overnight accommodation with the inclusion of 6 ensuite bedrooms, along with other facilities required by Renal patients and their families. The Support Centre is within a 200 metre radius of the Cork University Hospital

Without the organ donor, there is no hope, no transplant. But when there is an organ donor, life springs from death, sorrow turns to hope, and a terrible loss becomes a gift.
