Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As many of you will know - in November 2021 we lost our Mum, Cyndy.  She had cancer, but she also had Paraneoplastic syndrome which had affected her nervous system to a catastrophic point.  The symptoms of the syndrome presented many months before the cancer was discovered and by then her mobility had already been greatly reduced.  This syndrome is exceptionally rare and is an autoimmune response within the body.  Before our Dad, Grant passed away in 2013 - he had suffered from many years of Palindromic Rheumatism which is a rare autoimmune form of arthritis.

In their memory - we have all set ourselves the challenge of cycling, walking or swimming the 750km distance between Crolour, France and Paignton, Devon over 15 weeks, aiming to have completed by 30th May 2022.  We will be raising money for F.A.I.R - Funding Auto Immune Research and hope that you can contribute a little along the way as we pedal away at our goal and support research into autoimmune diseases.

Thank you - Emily, Cheryl & Stephanie xxx
