Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have chosen to take part this year in memory of my cousin Janine Parison.
Janine sadly lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday 28th August 2012 at the age of just 14. She was a truly inspiring young lady who had to grow up pretty fast. She was diagnosed the previous year with a rare form of Leukaemia.
This has really opened my eyes the importance of not just donating blood but also the need for stem cell donations. At present only 50% of those requiring a stem cell donation have a matching donor.
Not only do I want to support Cancer Research with the findings but I would also like to thank the Royal Marsden, Macmillan and The Shooting Star Hospice for their amazing support and care that they gave to Janine.
