Story
My name is Farah Mohammed-Cormack. And I am running a 5K.
For context: I have run exactly one 5K in my entire life, and I told myself halfway through it at the time it was my first and my last.
But I'm taking on the Kelpies, with bones and muscles that are a full decade older and far less fit, to raise money for Children First.
Children First is Scotland's national children's charity, and in my opinion, one of the most important organisations doing work in this country right now. They protect children from harm, support them to recover from trauma and abuse, and stand by families for as long as it takes - through their national support line, in homes, schools and communities. They make sure children's voices are heard. They make sure children's rights are fought for. And when the worst happens to a child, they don't give up on them.
Every child deserves to feel safe, loved and well. Children First works every single day to make that a reality. The least I can do is run 5K.
If you can spare anything at all, please donate. Your money goes directly to children who need it. (And to my motivation. Which I'll need plenty of.)
Thank you, very sincerely, for your support. 🧡
