Story
On Monday, April 26th, 2021, Farkhanda Jabeen Fatimi, passed away. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. "Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return."
We pray Allah (SWT) grants her the highest ranks of Jannah, may He illuminate her grave and grant beautiful patience ‘Sabr ’ to her loved ones. Ameen.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)
‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]
We use water for everything, from washing dishes to cooking food to growing crops. Allah (SWT) says, ‘By means of water, we give life to everything’. (Qur’an, 21:30) Communities who don’t have access to clean water face unimaginable hardships; their health, education and livelihoods suffer, trapping each generation in a tragic cycle of poverty.
This project is for a community water well which will provide access to clean water that can transform the lives of a whole community. Community water wells can serve more than 1,000 people. They are often located in arid areas where water is particularly scarce.
The wells are 1.5 meters wide and draw water from around 10 metres or more beneath the ground, making them dependable during all seasons. These water wells provide enough clean water for families, livestock and crops.
As it is the month of Ramadan many will be paying their Zakat over the last 10 days. This project is Zakat applicable.
By giving water, you can make a difference to families in need for generations to come, bringing the entire community back to life.
"And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds". [The Noble Qur’an, 52:21]
We pray Allah (SWT) reunites us with our loved ones in His Eternal Gardens of Paradise. By the will of Allah (SWT), we shall all meet again. Ameen.
Wa alaykumu s-salam
