Running the London Marathon has been a great ambition of mine but little did I know the opportunity would come so soon!  I have been very fortunate to have been offered a place by the Notre Dame Refugee Centre who are in the heart of London at Leicester Square.  

It is no coincidence that those assisted at NDRC are all from countries ravaged by war and political conflict. Those lucky enough to flee to the UK are welcomed by a government permeated with a culture of disbelief and a hostile media. Very often basic human rights are breached by the very institutions meant to uphold them.

One of the assisted at NDRC told me that there they are treated as humans and not animals. So, this is my way of helping to give back a little dignity. I hope you will join me.     

Even the smallest donation can make a difference towards helping those in a less fortunate position than you and me.
