Story
We live such privileged and (Alhamdulillah) good live's in the UK that sometimes it is difficult to imagine what those in need go through on a daily basis. For a while now we have both wanted to do something that we could first-hand make a difference, no matter how big or small, but an actual difference to someone who has had to unfairly flee their home to protect theirs and their families lives. It is something we cannot ever imagine to have to go through. The winters in the Lebanon refugee camps are harsh and we wish to make this winter somewhat easier for some of them with assistance in the form of food, blankets, heating etc. May Allah protect the Ummah and help our brothers and sisters who have had to flee war and other terrible calamities.
Some may say, why go all the way to Lebanon when there are people in the UK that need help, or family, friends and acquaintances back home in India or Pakistan, and we understand, yes, there are, however, helping the people in the refugee camps in Lebanon is an opportunity that has come to us to first hand go out there and physically pack and hand out the donations ourselves, we wish we could help more people at home and all over the world, but this is a first step for us to do something of this sort.
We would love for you to donate to our page, no matter how big or small the amount, every donation will help and we intend to be out in Lebanon this winter.
Love & Duas, Farhana & Shabnam x
This campaign is for Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Palestinian refugees as well as needy families in Lebanon struggling to make ends meet. The Syrian civil war has resulted in conflict and violence. Millions of innocent people have been caught up in a fight that is not their own, causing devastating consequences and changing blameless lives forever. The most vulnerable members of society are at the greatest risk women, children, and the elderly. The ongoing crisis has left millions of Syrians with no choice but to flee their families and their homes, with millions more displaced and left to fend for their lives. Since the onset of the Syrian civil in March 2011, over one million Syrian refugees have fled to Lebanon.
