Thank you for visiting our fundraising page - The 2008 Fastflow Cycling Challenge
This is the fourth charity challenge being undertaken by employees of all ages from Fastflow Pipeline Services, Northumbrian Water, Faithful and Gould, as well as some of their friends and relatives.
The challenge comprises a 138-mile cycle ride from Whitehaven in Cumbria across the Pennines to Sunderland on the Sustrans Coast to Coast route.
The majority of crossings take three to four days, with many groups taking five days to complete the full route. However, our challenge is to do it in ONE and HALF days.
This year we have 33 riders with four support crew. Our journey will begin in Whitehaven on the morning of Saturday, July 12th by dipping our rear wheel in the Irish Sea and will end with us dipping our front wheel in the North Sea on the following day.
Our nominated charity is Cancer Research UK - a concern close to the heart of one of our crew members, whose four-year-old niece, Ella, has acute lymphocytic leukaemia, a type of blood cancer.
