In Loving Memory of My Mother – A Mosque and Community Project in Bangladesh

On Friday, 21st September 2018, my beloved mother returned to her Creator. Her kindness, faith, and love touched everyone around her, and I wish to honour her life through a lasting sadaqah jariyah — a source of ongoing reward in her name, In sha Allah

We are raising funds to build a mosque in a rural community in Bangladesh, providing not only a place of worship but also vital resources for the local people. This mosque will serve generations, and your support will help bring this dream to life.

Project Overview and Purpose

The funds will be used for:

• Mosque Construction: A safe, durable structure for daily prayers.

• Deep Well: Clean water access for the local community.

• Carpets and Fans: Comfort and usability for worshippers.

• Solar Panels: Sustainable electricity for lighting and essential needs.

• Sound System: To allow the call to prayer and sermons to be heard clearly.

• 50 Qur’ans: Ensuring access to the Quran for learning and recitation.

• Imam’s Salary: Supporting a local imam to lead prayers and educate the community.

• Opening Day Feeding: A meal for the local community to celebrate and bless the opening of the mosque.

Total Cost: £10,000

This includes all construction, utilities, supplies, and the initial community outreach through Ummah hands.

Why Your Support Matters

Your donation will create a lasting legacy in my mother’s name. Every prayer offered in this mosque, every child who learns from the Qur’an here, and every drop of clean water from the well will be a continuous source of reward for her, in shā’ Allāh.

We have set the fundraising goal at £10,000 to cover the total costs. Every penny after fees will go directly toward completing this project and any excess will be used for additional Quran’s and sadaqah opportunities.
